I have chosen titles by authors who know how children learn and share their ideas in great materials. Common Sense Press, Susan Simpson, and Dinah Zike are known around the world for excellence in education.

The folds and organizers created by Dinah Zike have been an important part of my teaching since 1989. For fifteen years I used them in the classroom, and for the past nine years have taught parents how to incorporate them into their lessons. I have recently completed the Social Studies and Geography Institute at the Dinah Zike Academy and would love to teach you what I learned. Winners of this prestigious educational publishing industry award will be featured in the January 2011 issue of Learning® magazine. One of Dinah's first books, The Big Book of Books and Activities, was a TCA award winner during the first year of the competition.
